The black oxford shoe: essential in every men's wardrobe

If you have been invited to a black-tie event or any other formal occasion; like a call for a job interview in the MNC, or a wedding, perhaps you might be the person who actually needs (wants) to dress up in your day-to-day life, then a nice pair of black oxford shoe is essential in your wardrobe, because it reveals the excellence of elegance and etiquette.

However, the versatility and timeless look of the black oxford shoes would always make you look elegant, and of course, you could feel confident in your look as well.

The versatility of the black oxford is you could be paired with your formal and semi-formal outfits like a black or midnight blue tuxedo paired with a cap-toe black oxford (patent leather/ calfskin), also with a navy and grey suit as well.

Personally, I would prefer a grey prince of wales plaid double-breasted (6x2) suit with peak lapel, side vents and of course the pleated trousers with side adjusters and turn-ups as a formal business suit paired with plain toe black oxford shoes/ mid or charcoal grey trousers with a navy blazer (double breasted/ single breasted) paired with quarter brogue black oxford shoe to create a classy and conservative look.

Although, you could pair a black oxford shoe with denim jeans and chinos layered with a sport coat or shawl collar cardigan to create a sort of semi-formal look.

In terms of design, predominantly the oxford shoe has three types: the cap-toe oxford shoe (in which you could see the horizontal stitching across the toe portion on the shoe that extend to the welt on either side), the plain-toe oxford shoe (of course it has clean look on the vamp of the shoe), and whole-cut oxford shoe (which is the upper of the shoe cut as one piece of leather), the distinguishing characteristic of the oxford shoe is the closed lacing system would create a simple and clean look to the shoe.

Therefore, I would recommend you own a nice pair of black oxford shoes in your wardrobe for every formal occasion; to dress up and make yourself confident and look more elegant and classy.

Cheers gentleman
