Pitti Uomo; what, when and why

In 1951 apparently, it began as a fashion (trade) show, particularly in women's wear which was founded by Mr Giovanni Battista Giorgini in the Sala Bianca in Palazzo Pitti, Florence.

Therefore, he invited fashion designers, influencers, photographers, editors and journalists from all over the world; intending to introduce Italian craftsmanship to the world market.

However,  after succeeding in the women's fashion (trade) show; In 1972 the first edition of the men's fashion (trade) show which is called the Pitti Uomo (man) begins; In Fortezza da Basso, Florence and is particularly concentrated on presenting Italian tailoring and style.

On the other hand, Pitti Uomo also welcomes people from all over the world particularly those who are fascinated by classic menswear, style and elegance.

Actually, Pitti Uomo is divided into two parts: inside the Pitti, you could see lots of merchandisers from around the world who have their shops and showcasing their crafts; it's only for buyers who intended to buy a bulk number of products and another side a beautiful open place which is the gathering lots of elegantly dressed ladies and gentlemen from around the world.

Those who are predominantly Bloggers, YouTubers, Authors (menswear/ sartorial), Bespoke tailors, Shoemakers, artisans, stylists, designers, classic menswear enthusiasts, Photographers and such.

However, the Pitti Uomo is happening yearly twice once in winter and another once in summer; if you are interested to attend and meet the most talented artisans also implacably well-dressed ladies and gentlemen, then all you need to do only to book the entrance pass online.

This gathering is like a (family) reunion and also meet new people and artisans who come from different countries and different backgrounds; and share their knowledge to build a nice relationship, exploring sartorialism and craftsmanship.
